As the studio began its journey in 2010, when the mobile games market was reaching saturation points, they started off their creative projects by utilizing slapstick humor still prevalent in their games. However, Owlchemy’s road to stardom was not that straightforward. Even today, the game sits atop sellers lists as one of the most recognized and successful VR games. The game has been one of Owlchemy’s most popular game, selling out millions of copies. At the time of writing, the game is available across multiple platforms, including Windows Mixed Reality, Valve Index, the Rift, PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, and HTC Vive. Job Simulator is a VR game simulating various jobs in a comic-book-like world with quirky and funny interactions. A Brief History of the Game and the Studio Behind it The latter version contains all of the content from the original game, with some additional features created specifically for this platform. Initially, the game launched on the HTC Vive, and moved onto Playstation VR, Oculus Rift, while in 2022 it launched on Oculus Go. Robots replaced humans in the workforce, and players must learn how to do their job. Facebook also says it will bring more games and apps to the headset in the future so stay tuned.Job Simulator VR sets players into 2050, where they are put into a simulated world with a variety of tasks. We’ll continue to tinker with the other experiences and see what’s possible. E McNeil’s Tactera, meanwhile, can be played with full 6DOF controls and feels right at home. The Go version is all 3DOF, too, so the difference is night and day. It’s a bit of an odd choice for a Quest release as Death Horizon: Reloaded came out for the headset last week. We’ve also tried Dream Dev Studios’ Death Horizon. It feels much more natural and even more comfortable inside the headset. On Quest, though, the app supports 6DOF hand-tracking. Coatsink’s sky-gazing showcase was first designed for the Go and Gear’s respective 3DOF motion controllers. Meanwhile, A Night Sky has always been an effective introduction to the wonders of VR. It was just as striking as it was all those years ago. I shimmied along cliff faces and stood with the waves washing up on my feet. Not only does it still hold up today, but the positional tracking lets you see it with fresh eyes for the first time in four years. Monument Valley developer Ustwo created a powerfully immersive exploration game. Long time Upload readers will know Land’s End has always held a special place in my heart. We haven’t been able to make the distinction for each game yet, but both of these titles support 6DOF. Others are locked to the 3DOF tracking seen on Go. We do know that a selection of these apps support full six degrees of freedom (6DOF) tracking. Here’s what they look like running on the platform! That includes two of the platform’s best games Land’s End and A Night Sky. There, in the Not Installed section, you’ll find any Go apps you own that can be played on Quest. Once you’ve installed the patch, you’ll be able to switch out ‘Devices’ in the Library tab on Quest. Over 60 Oculus Go games and experiences are available on Quest as part of this week’s update. Last week, Oculus announced that a selection of Go apps were coming to Quest.
